The group is overseen by committee of volunteer Trustees, made up from Guiding, Scouting, and the local community. The chair of the group is appointed by the Group Scout Leader and the Group Guide Leader (Usually the District Commissioner) who then leads the committee on their behalf.
The purpose of the Trustees is to support the development and provision of Scouting and Guiding at Eastcombe by managing the facilities, supporting fundraising and recruitment and acting as trustees of the funds, buildings and land held by the group.

Elections to the committee are held annually at the AGM, with a number of roles appointed ex-officio by the GSL, GGL, and Chair in order to provide services to the group.
